Sadly, I realize that these accidents are always considered at fault with the person doing the rear-ending, and although it was an accident, I do take full responsibility for it and I'm not being a little butt trying to pin it off on everyone else. Right now, I spend about 150 a month on car insurance for my car. I was wondering what you folks think my premiums might raise by? I've heard quite a few horror stories about Geico and will probably just be better off switching companies after because I guess they like to drop people or raise the premiums so high that they leave so they can keep their initial rates low. Wow run-on sentence; Sorry. Anyways, please help me out. Give me tips, advice, and maybe some other companies worth looking at?

I'm currently with Belairdirect for my car insurance. I'm a fairly new driver with my G2 and I've only had the insurance for 1 year. I just got my renewal for the year and it's going to be DOUBLE! Granted, I did have an at fault accident about 7 months ago so I expected it to go up regardless, but not that much. It's going from about $2200/yr to $4400/yr. I know no matter where I go I will have to pay more because of the accident, but can anyone recommend some place that won't gouge me?

I know older cars with a good safety rating tend to have cheaper insurance quotes, if you can, please list some cars that you know would be cheaper to insure. I have a decent amount of money to spend on a car, but I am still young, and in turn my insurance would be high if I got something like a mustang. Fronting? - UK Car Insurance?

Hi, Could anyone give a proper definition of fronting regarding car insurance in the UK? For example, who goes under the heading of a fronter? In which cases would it be illegal to go under a more experienced driver's insurance policy? I understand why a 17 year old who just got their driving licence wouldn't be allowed to hide behind their parents' 20 years of No Claims, but would a 25 year old be able to go on their parents' policy? I've tried looking at the insurers' websites but they'll happily give a quote for anything, even if it's illegal, without saying so, so I can never be sure if it's wrong or not Thanks :)
